San Antonio / Rengstroff Road Neighborhood, Mountain View, California

The San Antonio/Rengstorff neighborhood, Mountain View, CA is such a pleasant experience. In spite of its bustling surroundings, there is a surprising sense of quiet here. Housing options are plenty. Newer developments line the California and Rengstorff streets offering modern townhouse communities interspersed with well maintained apartment housing. Quaint housing nestled amongst a scatter of larger architectural styles creates a sense of cozy ambiance. As was typical of agricultural Mountain View during this time period row crops surrounded this entire region. Various original homes in this area share history with affiliates of Pacific Press. Mariposa Avenue is home to four homes (c. 1900 to c. 1920) built in Craftsman style. These original structures were home to local winemaker Pierre Klein, a former Mountain View mayor, a Pacific Press employee, and pioneer Wilbur Lee Camp.

(Bounded between Central Expressway to the north and El Camino Real to the south. The neighborhood border touches the edge of the City of Palo Alto.)
