For over 100 years, the City has kicked off the holiday season with this fun, family-friendly event.  Council Member Jerry Marsalli plays "tree lighter" for the Santa Clara Holiday Tree Lighting 2016 ceremony.  The Peelers perform their medleys and mash-ups of today's hits with yesterday's favorites.  You haven't heard anything like it!  Rumor has it that the big man himself plans to stop in for a meet and greet with all the good little boys and girls.  Bring your wish list, so you can let Santa know what you hope to find under your Christmas tree this year!

Strap on the blades and show your skills off on the ice.  Everyone from beginner level to expert will enjoy time out on the ice rink.  Rent some skates or bring your own.

The Santa Clara Holiday Tree Lighting 2016 festivities tend to work up an appetite.  Luckily, several food vendors will be selling their tasty treats on-site.  Please leave your pets at home.  The City Ordinance does not allow animals at Central Park during this event.  Carpooling can help alleviate the headache of finding a place to park since parking is extremely limited.

Before you head out the door, grab a bag and fill it with canned goods. Bring it to the park and drop it off for the Second Harvest food drive. The City distributes all donations to individuals and families in need in the community.
