Central Neighborhood (Mountain View) Homes for Sale

Take a virtual tour of Mountain View, CA in Silicon Valley

The Central neighborhood of Mountain View CA features many early and eclectic styles as Queen Ann, Mission Revival, Craftsman Bungalow, Moderne, and much more. Downtown is Mountain View’s city center. Named after Don Mariano Castro, native to this region and a large land owner, Downtown is referred to by locals as Castro Street. The construction of the railroad system naturally led to the relocation of the central area of Mountain View from the Grant area to the Castro area. Downtown Mountain View is appropriately named as this is the place to enjoy six blocks of fine dining (Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian, Mediterranean, and Italian), shopping, productions at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and the award-winning Mountain View Library.
